Nice cheap unit with excellent power capabilities for the size. Temperature output is 41° after 10 minutes running at 20W.
Input voltage range is 5.5V DC to 30V DC, output can go through 1V to 30V. 3A constant. Buck or Boost so input can be higher, lower or equal to the output voltage.
Reversed input protection, and short output protection.
The two pots control output voltage and constant current limiting. A red led lights shows when current limiting is in force. Blue when power is output.
I measure noise on 12V 1.1A at around 800mV p-p at 200KHz
To set it up
The top pot adjusts the current cutoff. Best to wind it max clockwise to start, and wind it back if you need current limiting when you’ve got the voltage set.
Adjust the bottom pot labelled CV to adjust the voltage.
You can also use it as a battery charger (though I haven’t tested this). Set CV to the floating charge voltage and CC to the charge current. Green light illuminates when the charge is complete.
Altogether, a great little power device.
I also stock this power supply with an LCD Display that shows voltage and current / power output.
